MuRD 2 includes some bug fixes and additional features. The main changes are related to window handling and management of full screen and multiple monitor systems.

Here is a list of the major feature additions:
# Window Handling

* New Window handling interface to avoid issues with loss of desktop focus
* added tab dragging so that tabs can be rearranged
* added “focus on tab click” to force a connection to regain focus when it’s tab is clicked (in case the connection does not get focus after switching from another application). This saves having to click a different tab and then clicking back on the tab you want
* added new full screen menu options when running a multiple monitor setup. You can now open full screen directly to a chosen monitor
* added the “Active Connections” Tree that allows drag-and-drop functionality allowing connections to be dragged to monitors or the connection manager which to open/move them at the desired location
* added a move to connection manager option to move single connections from full screen to the connection manager
* added “auto scale” setting so that windows can be automatically scaled when bigger than the MuRD or Full Screen window

# RDP File Handling

* added new setting “Use Filename for Connection Name when Importing” to use a custom name for connections when importing from rdp files.
* added “multi-select” to the Import RDP file window to import more than one rdp settings file at a time

# Keyboard Shortcuts

* added support for RDP Ctrl-Alt-Break key combination to go to/from Full Screen mode
* added support for RDP Ctrl-Alt-Left and Ctrl-Alt-Right keyboard shortcuts to show the connection manager window

# Connection Settings

* added support for read only “group settings” so you can point at UNC or mapped drives to share connection files in a read-only way with other MuRD users or systems.
* added a comment field for connections so that you can add some extra info about the remote connection if required (eg if the server name doesn’t easily identify what the server is or does)
* added a new setting so that connection files will remember which monitor they were last opened on in full screen
* added support for new Terminal Services Client 6
